My Search

I search for myself
Lost is this poor creature
Amidst a land of loveless humans
With you far off from me
Lost is this poor poet
I search for myself

Into the so called gray matter
Meticulous things it does for everyone
Some very joyous and happy of it
My search is never ending
I search for myself

Like a kid who lost her doll
Desperate I look out for myself
A loss of identity I don’t find
Restless I am without a face of mine
I search for myself

Into the vast stretch of sky
A huge painting with splashes of white clouds by God
Search continues into the sea
Azure land of various creatures
I search for myself

All day and night I look for me
Heaven is not spared at all
There also I go searching
Dancing halls of Indhra, judgment courts of Shiva
I search for myself

Wondering if I am so sinful
Into the depthless, the Earth’s core
Search in the Hell amidst sinful people
Melancholy again I don’t find me
I search for myself

How long this hide and seek?
I am tired and restless
Searching on land and skies for me
Then I realize my endless folly
I search for myself

I search for myself
And reach beyond your deep eyes
In I go with rejoiced heart filled with pleasure
Down below my search ends
There I live in your heart as merry as ever
My search ends here

My search ends here
I have found myself
Rich as a queen in your heart’s abode
Will you keep me there forever?
